About Us

We began our operation back in the early 80’s when Yannis, a family member who is also an architect, converted our family residence into the Athenian home that has been enjoyed by thousands of our guests since then.

We are budget friendly and maintain a low profile. Our decoration style is minimalistic and we’ve kept the retro vibe of the hotel with our old original wooden and marble floors, our furniture dating back to the 60’s. Our name itself was inspired by the late Dora Bouki, our family artist, who lived and worked here for most of her life. For over forty years, her work as an impressionist painter made a significant impact in both local and international exhibitions. We’re proud that many of her seascape paintings hang throughout the Hotel.

On the 4th floor is the lounge and breakfast room. This is where you can enjoy your breakfast, inside or on the main balcony, and where you can also relax during most of the day, admiring the Parthenon.

Our Ηotel is well-situated in a safe neighborhood of Koukaki, one of the coolest districts of Athens. We are conveniently located near the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and the many interconnected archaeological sites of significance. Here are some of the city’s major attractions you can access on foot:

- Acropolis/Parthenon

- Acropolis Museum

- Ancient Agora

- Theatre/Odeon of Herodes Atticus

- Philopappou Hill

- Temple of Zeus

- Plaka (old town)

- Monastiraki (flea market)

- Thissio & Psiri

Many other popular city destinations can also be reached on foot or via our nearby metro and tram stations or by bus (all a few minutes away).

Furthermore, the bustling pedestrian alley just down our street offers convenient access to a variety of enticing restaurants, tavernas, bars/pubs and cafes.

So there you have it - a homely atmosphere in the center of Athens offered at great value, with easy access to the major city destinations, Attica beaches, ports and airport.
